Mera Noor ("the App") is designed with your privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App operates offline-first and does not require any account creation or login.

Data We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
• We do not share any data with third parties
• We do not track your location history
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Reading progress — which cards you've read and your current position
• Saved cards — cards you bookmark for later
• Preferences — theme choice, content language, last played recitation
• Cached audio — Quran recitation files cached for offline listening

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Location Data

The App may request location permission solely to calculate accurate prayer times based on your geographic position. This is optional — you can use the App without granting location access. Your location is processed on-device only and is never transmitted to any server.

Internet Access

The App uses internet connectivity for:

• Quran audio streaming — recitation audio is streamed from everyayah.com (a public Quran audio service)

No personal data is sent with these requests. The App does not communicate with any proprietary backend or analytics service.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It is suitable for all ages and contains only educational Islamic content.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Audio streaming uses publicly available Quran recitation APIs which do not require or collect personal data.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its data through your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Given the App's offline-first, no-data-collection design, we do not anticipate significant changes.
